Great Ourdoors
My family and I like to spend a lot of our free time outside. Mostly we hike, take car trips, camp, and go fishing. We are lucky to reside in the beautiful White Mountains of eastern Arizona, so we have plenty of opportunities to be outdoors.
On the following pages I hope to document some of our trips. I especially would like to keep a record of sorts of how many miles we hike in the 2010 season.
We have a 9 year old son, Ben, so our hikes and other trips are geared towards things that will interest a kid. And the hikes are never too long or strenuous, although sometimes we try to push the limits a little.
We also buy/read a ton of books about the outdoors and wilderness survival. Trying to teach Ben to survive even under circumstances that are not always in our control. Especially weather changes and encounters with wild animals.
